DORO Estate in the Hills of Polydendri
Today, Polydendri remains a place where nature, tradition, and village life coexist. DORO Estate sits within this landscape, surrounded by privacy and open views.
DORO is set at 340m in the hills of Polydendri village, approximately 33km from Athens in East Attica. From the moment you arrive, the 64-acre landscape opens out across wide panoramic views.
Built between 1975–1978, the Estate was conceived when the area was still largely untouched. With only two neighbouring homes in the distance and a single dirt road leading up to the property, access could be challenging, especially in winter. It includes a main house, caretaker’s residence, guest house, and working farmland, built in stone with earthy tones that sit naturally within the landscape.
The surrounding hills reflect the name Polydendri, meaning “many trees.” Walking routes and open countryside sit alongside a quiet village atmosphere, while remaining within easy reach of Athens. The village, five minutes away, is known for its traditional tavernas and relaxed weekend rhythm.
The coast is around 30 minutes away, passing through small, picturesque villages, with the fishing ports of Oropos and Agioi Apostoloi nearby. Marathon Lake is also a 30-minute drive.
Polydendri is part of a wider Arvanite region, where elements of language and local tradition have been preserved over centuries.
At DORO, our intention is clear, to offer space for people to slow down, reconnect, and return to what matters most.
