The Estate
DORO is set within the hills of Polydendri, East Attica, less than an hour from Athens. Positioned at 340 metres elevation across several acres, the estate opens onto wide panoramic views that stretch towards the Aegean Sea, offering privacy, open space and a strong sense of immersion in the surrounding landscape.
Built between 1975 and 1978, when the area remained largely untouched, the estate was designed in stone and earthy tones that sit naturally within its environment. It includes a main house, guest house, caretaker’s residence and working farmland, with only a small number of neighbouring homes visible in the distance..
Over the years, this became a place shaped by everyday rituals and shared experiences. Evenings often gathered around the traditional wood oven, where music, singing, wine from the estate’s vines, and 'tsipouro' carried conversation late into the night.
The surrounding landscape reflects the meaning of Polydendri — many trees. Open countryside, walking routes and village life exist side by side, creating a slower rhythm while remaining within easy reach of Athens. Just minutes away, the village offers traditional tavernas and a relaxed local atmosphere.
Today, DORO welcomes private gatherings, celebrations, retreats, educational visits, team meetings and events of all kinds, offering a setting where people can come together in nature while experiencing a place shaped by openness, privacy and the character of the land itself.
